The 5 stages of business growth
1. Struggle — Unclear business model, no defined customers, and inconsistent or poor sales. Most days are spent reacting rather than building. Income is low and unpredictable, and the risk of shutting down is real.
2. Survival — You have a workable model, but it still runs like self-employment rather than a business. Income is inconsistent, and you're still doing most of the sales and operations yourself.
3. Stability — Income is consistent, but the business still depends heavily on you personally to keep running. This stage feels safe, but that safety often hides fatigue and a ceiling on growth.
